Holubí letka (Pigeon fleet) is the designation for a group of seniors recruited from the ranks of former journalists and art lovers who bypass the press conference, exhibition openings and social or cultural events for free consumption of food offered here. Members of the Pigeon fleet normally visit a number of completely unrelated events per day, plunge the first offered food and what not to eat on site, take away in bags. Organizers are trying to eliminate their presence by sending targeted invitations and incoming lustration, but with only partial success. Almost every major city in the Czech county with more than 100 thousands population has a small Pigeon fleet and some pigeons lively migrate between cities across the country. They are quite easily recognizable. Even before the start of the event crawling around the table with refreshments. They even daring moves on the offensive and take the largest portion. They drink, eat and even do not hesitate to loudly criticize the quantity or quality of the food or service.
