Czechs on the Adriatic
Almost every tenth Czech yearly set out on holiday to Croatia. Czechs in the early 20th last century discovered the Adriatic and there were pioneers of holiday tourism. The first trail was set up by the Czech Tourist Club, the first international line, which landed at the airport in Dubrovnik, was from Prague, the first hotel on the island of Brac is named Prague, the first tourists on the Peljesac peninsula were students from Brno, the first organized group on the island Krk were Czech tourists. After the Civil War in the 90 years were again the first and helped Croatia as anyone else, because even attract tourists from elsewhere. Among Czechs is therefore customary to say the Adriatic Sea little grandly, "Our Sea".
